Today I went for an ultrasound. Yesterday at my regular doctor's appointment (not that there is ever anything regular about that place) my doctor listened to the heartbeat through the doppler and stood there listening for a really long time. Normally he just listens for a little while then tells me how fast it was and goes on to the next task. But yesterday he really kept listening- it seems the baby's heart was losing quite a few beats per minute. So, he sent me for an ultrasound today.
Everything is fine and all the cardio exams done on the baby through ultrasound are normal and the structure and function appear normal. So all is well and of course, the little heart didn't do anything weird today- it just kept perfectly in time.
But the good news for today was that I got to go to another location for the ultrasound (not the hospital ultrasound office I went to last time) and this place has 3D and 4D technology. So, I got some really good pictures! Enjoy.
First image is feet- obviously. Anyone else think this kid might have 6 toes on his left foot?
second image- face
third image- hand coup in front of face- the ultrasound tech thinks his arms are pretty long
fourth image- hand holding the umbilical cord up around his face. He was playing with the cord the whole time
fifth image- boy parts- looking up from the bottom. Please don't make me explain further- just look at it until you figure it out :)
