These days

So here are a couple pictures of how I am looking these days. I have gained a fair amount of weight, but not way too much. According to the doctor, I can gain about 7-12 more lbs. At my current rate of gain, I'm not sure I'll gain that much more before the baby arrives. Unless I just start pigging out- which I feel like doing sometimes.
These pics are at 29 weeks (a little of 7 months, for those of you who think of pregnancy in terms of months- remember it's not actually nine months, more like 9 1/2).

Update on Lunch with Grandpa

So, I realize it has taken me a while to update you on the lunch. We finally decided to meet at the restaurant at 11am (because they don't open until then). I drove up at about 10:55am to find him standing in the lobby looking out the window- scanning the parking lot for me. I walked in and he checked his watch and made note that I was "right on time." I reminded him that I was actually "a few minutes early."

The hostess wasn't even really ready to seat people yet and the waitress was definitely not ready. She hurried up and served us drinks and then took our order. While we were eating, this was the topic of conversation: (grandpa) "I had to go to the bank yesterday and take all my money out and move it to another bank because they charge me to pay my bills." Basically what he means is when they automatically pay his utility bill, cable, etc, they have have the nerve and audacity to charge him a fee for that (insert sarcasm here). So, he closed all his accounts at that bank and found another bank to do business with- I assume they don't charge him for that service.

I then showed him pictures from my 4-d ultrasound and he seemed relatively unimpressed and underwhelmed. Although, I'm pretty sure he doesn't understand what they can do with computers these days, so it didn't really bother me. Other than that, that's about all we talked about- the bank and all it's fees and how I need to put all my money in money markets and CDs (with the exception of a stash at home for emergencies) for when the market crashes again and there is another depression. Same conversation we always have when we go to lunch.

Anyway, after the salad, bread, and entree and the time it took for the waitress to get us our ticket and take our money, we were out of the restaurant by 11:40am. Yes, a mere 40 minutes to eat lunch. At least no one else was there.
