Mail man

The mail man (actually, I think they are technically called postal carriers or something PC like that these days) is a new guy on our route and when he stops at each house, he turns his little truck completely off and has to re-start it every single house. Now, I'm no mail carrier, but it would seem to me that you could just put the truck in par, or maybe even neutral when you jumped out to put the mail in the mail box.

I can only imagine how many times he must turn his truck on and off each day- there are like 30 houses just on my street multiply that by all the streets in the neighborhood carry the one......:)

Think about how much gas he is wasting and probably also time..... And one day I stopped him a few houses early because I was leaving and didn't want my mail sitting there for the few days I would be gone and he was so snotty. He thought he was the head of national security or something. He was very nasty and told me to just wait and then I finally asked one last time and he made me show him my ID and verify my address, etc. Now I know there is mail theft, but he sees me every day anyway.

That's retarded!
Besides, it takes way more in gas to start and stop a vehicle than it does to leave it running!

Do you remember the days when your starter used to always go out in your cars. Like every car you bought we had break down on us! ha ha ha! Those were the days.

If I was the mailman, I would totally park the car at the end of the street and deliver to all the houses on one side of the street, then walk back up the other side of the street, get in my car, and go to the next street, and so on.
I'd totally be thin and hot again! Maybe I should do that in Fargo....

Well, you never know about htose postal employees. there was a lady in CA that worked in a post office, and went in and killed 7 people and herself- turns out, she was from NM. That's a shocker.

But, I have always wondered why they don't just walk. I know the bag can get kinda heavy, but why not get some exercise at work, while you're getting paid?
